Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data systems and ETL pipelines
• Combine raw data from multiple sources into consistent, machine-readable formats
• Monitor, test, and optimize data flows to ensure high quality and reliability
• Analyze large datasets to uncover meaningful trends and actionable insights
• Evaluate business needs and translate them into effective data solutions
• Develop and maintain analytical tools and reporting frameworks
• Collaborate with analysts, product managers, and stakeholders on cross-functional projects
• Monitor the cost and efficiency of data infrastructure

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a similar field
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar technical role
• Proficiency in Python, including OOP, unit testing, and APIs
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data modeling
• Experience with SQL and orchestration tools such as Airflow
• Experience with columnar databases like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake
• Experience with version control systems such as GitHub
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with dbt
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Heroku
• Master's degree in a relevant field
