Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and external datasets, into a unified ecosystem to support data science and operational reporting.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust ELT/ETL data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, models, and related processes to facilitate team collaboration.
• Proactively identify opportunities to automate manual processes and optimize data delivery.
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to detect and address pipeline issues, minimizing downtime and data loss.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and visualization specialists to maximize the value of data models.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior data engineers.
• Communicate technical information and insights to non-technical stakeholders and senior commercial leaders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role, specifically within data warehousing, BI, or big data analytics.
• Proven experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (Redshift, S3, ECS, Lambda, Sagemaker) or Azure (Databricks).
• Extensive experience developing and maintaining ELT/ETL data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python and/or R.
• Expertise in various data modeling techniques.
• Proficiency with CI/CD principles and tools.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies and fast-paced project environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI.
• Knowledge and experience with MLOps.
• Experience with Docker and Postgres.
