Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based services and FastAPI-driven APIs within a GCP environment
• Build and maintain serverless applications and event-driven integrations using Cloud Functions and Cloud Run
• Implement and optimize data architectures leveraging BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform
• Mentor team members in Python best practices, cloud-native design, and serverless architecture patterns
• Maintain and design complex data warehouse environments and implement complex business rules
• Provide technical design documentation and execute comprehensive test strategies
• Offer 1st and 2nd line application support for ICOS systems

Requirements

• Mastery of Python, including deep understanding of design patterns and OOP
• 4+ years of expertise building high-performance APIs with FastAPI
• Expert-level proficiency with Pandas, Polars, and NumPy for large-scale data processing
• Hands-on experience with GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure, including containerization and serverless compute
• Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and RDBMS environments
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Experience with scheduling tools such as Control-M
• Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of indexing business domains
• Exposure to ETL processes with Informatica Powercenter
