Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data architecture including databases, data lakes, and data warehouses
• Build, automate, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and process data from various sources
• Integrate heterogeneous data sources into unified, high-quality datasets
• Manage and optimize data infrastructure for performance, storage, and operational costs
• Act as a technical lead, coaching other data engineers and promoting best practices
• Develop and maintain data processing code using Python, Spark, or SQL
• Monitor and maintain production data pipelines and systems

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar technical role
• Proven experience managing and operating modern data platforms
• Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with Databricks or other distributed data processing platforms
• Strong programming skills in Python, Spark, and SQL
• Experience with CI/CD tools and Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of data orchestration tools like Airflow or Dataiku
• Fluency in French and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Dutch language skills
• Relevant cloud certifications
• Experience in utilities, energy, or finance industries
• Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems like Salesforce or SAP
