Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support cloud-native systems for automated deployment and management of large-scale data applications.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect and process telecom data, including network telemetry and customer usage patterns.
• Process streaming data from 5G/4G network logs, IoT sensors, and edge devices using Kafka, Spark Streaming, and Flink for near-real-time AI analytics.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and orchestration for data and AI workloads using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for data software using GitLab, Airflow, and Ansible to ensure high quality and low time to market.
• Mentor junior engineers and apply technical expertise to solve complex programming and design challenges.
• Establish standards for the design, deployment, and maintenance of advanced data analytics and text mining models.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4 years of professional experience in Software Engineering or applying ETL concepts to integrate and process data.
• 3 years of experience with real-time data streaming technologies, specifically Kafka.
• 3 years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based data platforms and infrastructure.
• 3 years of experience with telecommunications cloud infrastructure, including 5G or edge systems.
• 3 years of experience with data processing engines, specifically Apache Spark.
• 3 years of experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• 2 years of experience with GitLab and supporting CI/CD workflows.
• 2 years of experience with AWS (including S3, Athena, CloudWatch, and Redshift).
