Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Build ingestion, transformation, and serving pipelines to support enterprise analytics and AI use cases.
• Utilize GCP-native services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer (Airflow).
• Implement data transformation logic, schema management, and metadata enrichment to support downstream AI consumption.
• Build and optimize AI-ready data pipelines supporting ML and GenAI initiatives, including integration with Vertex AI.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data quality, reliability, and adherence to security standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering and cloud-based data platform development.
• Hands-on experience with GCP data services (BigQuery, Dataflow, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python programming.
• Proven experience developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and distributed data processing workflows.
• Solid understanding of modern data architecture, including data lakes and data warehouses.

Preferred Qualifications

• GCP certifications such as Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Data Engineer.
• Exposure to AI/ML, GenAI-enabled data ecosystems, or Vertex AI.
• Experience with DBT, PySpark, or Apache Beam.
• Familiarity with semantic modeling, BI ecosystems, or Looker.
• Experience in retail, marketing, or customer analytics domains.
