Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models to support the Access domain.
• Modernize legacy data workflows and infrastructure, including migrations from platforms like Hive to Iceberg.
• Develop reliable ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and serve data for analytics and operational use cases.
• Break down complex problems into technical solutions and sequence work for fast, iterative improvements.
• Partner with data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders to drive data quality, reliability, and observability.
• Enable advanced analytics by providing insights into product usage, campaign performance, and revenue growth.
• Own critical data pipelines end-to-end and contribute to the continuous improvement of the overall data platform.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and programming languages, specifically Python.
• Experience building data pipelines using modern technologies such as Spark, Airflow, or Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience building dashboards and analytics using Looker and/or Power BI.
• Proficiency with version control and CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins.
• Experience with streaming architectures and Flink-based processing.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, pipeline reliability, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale data migrations or platform modernization.
• Experience working with identity, access, compliance, or entitlement-related datasets.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers or similar frameworks for AI-agent interactions.
