About the role
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the new data platform using Dagster, dbt, AWS ECS, and GCP GBQ
- Develop tools for monitoring, data checks, connectors, cost control, testing, CI/CD, and cataloging
- Maintain and optimize high-volume core ELT pipelines, moving terabytes of data from MySQL to GBQ
- Take responsibility for critical reports used by the Executive Board and other departments
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Software Engineering with high-volume pipelines
- Experience building and maintaining modern data platforms
- Deep practical experience with Dagster, dbt, Google BigQuery, and AWS ECS
- Strong software engineering fundamentals including CI/CD, testing, and design patterns
- Expert-level SQL and Python skills
- Knowledge of infrastructure setups like Docker and Terraform or CloudFormation
- Strong communication skills and business-fluent English
