Senior Data Design Analyst

Responsibilities

• Partner with game development, analytics engineering, and data science stakeholders to understand gameplay systems and downstream data needs
• Design clear, consistent, and scalable telemetry specifications to capture player behavior
• Translate analytical requirements into raw telemetry event designs, schemas, and naming conventions
• Review telemetry designs for completeness, quality, and suitability for machine learning and reporting
• Collaborate with analytics engineers to reduce transformation complexity and improve data reliability
• Support telemetry QA by defining expected behaviors, edge cases, and validation checks
• Maintain documentation and design standards for game telemetry governance

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in analytics, data design, data analysis, or product analytics
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or analytical field
• Strong understanding of event-based data, data schemas, and data quality principles
• Ability to translate ambiguous stakeholder questions into structured data requirements
• Proficiency with SQL and working with large-scale datasets
• Excellent written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong attention to detail regarding data lineage and implementation constraints

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with game telemetry or live service analytics
• Knowledge of behavioral event taxonomies or analytics engineering workflows
