Senior Data Center Operations Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure new server, storage and network infrastructure is properly racked, labeled, cabled, and configured
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in advanced GPU and Networking systems
• Document and update data center layout and network topology in DCIM software
• Work with supply chain and manufacturing teams for large-scale deployments
• Manage parts depot inventory and track equipment through the deployment lifecycle
• Partner with HW Support teams to resolve complex hardware incidents
• Work with RMA team to manage faulty parts and replacements
• Follow installation standards for placement, labeling, and cabling
• Translate business priorities into technical and operational requirements
• Support cross-functional projects and train junior staff

Requirements

• Experience with critical infrastructure systems (power distribution, air flow, environmental monitoring, DCIM)
• Familiarity with carrier DIA circuit test and turn ups, fiber testing, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of cable optics and various cable media types
• Solid understanding of single and three phase power theories and PDU balancing
• Knowledge of cold isle and hot isle containment
• Solid understanding of server hardware and boot processes
• Ability to structure and improve complex maintenance MOPs
• Willingness to travel for new data center bring-ups

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with data center critical infrastructure
• Knowledge of network topology and 400gb Infiniband architectures
• Experience with DDP or SCM cluster storage systems
• 3+ years experience with ticketing systems like JIRA or Zendesk
• Advanced Linux administration experience
• Experience with High Performance Compute GPU systems (air or water cooled), specifically Nvidia NVL72
