Senior Data Center Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop tools to support teams in bringing up and validating clusters at CSPs and customer data centers
• Provide technical guidance and advisory support for large-scale GPU deployments and server clusters
• Assist development teams in identifying and resolving hardware and software technical issues throughout the cluster lifecycle
• Resolve technical issues for customers utilizing AMD Instinct™ server products
• Mentor junior members of the technical staff
• Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to AMD management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible, bash, or Python
• Expertise in Linux installation, setup, tuning, and debugging
• Knowledge of server architecture and remote management via BMC
• Understanding of high-speed network protocols and fabrics, including RDMA, RoCE, or InfiniBand

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data center GPU software stacks such as AMD ROCm™ or Nvidia CUDA
• Familiarity with distributed network libraries like NCCL/RCCL or MPI
• Experience with virtual environments such as VMWare, KVM, or Microsoft
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning workloads, frameworks, and models
• Experience in large-scale system bringup or platform engineering
