Senior Data Architect

Responsibilities

• Model and design data platform architecture, defining data domains, flows, and topology within a lakehouse environment (e.g., Databricks).
• Oversee the implementation of technical solutions for large-volume, low-latency data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into well-structured platform data models and analytical frameworks.
• Design and implement robust cloud-based data solutions using medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and Delta Lake patterns.
• Lead and mentor team members, fostering an innovative and inclusive environment while ensuring high-quality code and performance tuning.
• Secure data in alignment with internal security policies and client requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data platform modeling, including lakehouse platforms like Databricks.
• 10+ years of experience in ETL/ELT deployment in production environments.
• 10+ years of experience in cloud-based data services (AWS or Azure).
• 10+ years of experience with Python, Scala, Java, or .Net.
• 10+ years of experience in database and query tuning.
• 10+ years of experience in Windows/Linux environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Databricks specific tools including Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, and Databricks Workflows.
• Knowledge of AI/ML pipeline technologies and statistical analysis.
• Experience with enterprise architecture tooling such as LeanIX or Ardoq.
• Fluency in both relational and NoSQL databases.
