Senior Data Architect

Responsibilities

• Design scalable Azure SQL architectures based on application workload, concurrency, and data volume
• Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states
• Manage large-scale data migrations using Azure Database Migration Service (DMS)
• Redesign schemas for performance and scalability using partitioning and archiving strategies
• Design robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, or SSIS
• Perform deep query performance tuning and execution plan analysis to resolve bottlenecks
• Implement data quality rules, including validation, profiling, and schema drift handling
• Design dimensional models using star and snowflake schemas for analytical workloads
• Support business intelligence strategies through the creation of interactive dashboards and reports

Requirements

• 10 to 12+ years of experience with Azure SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
• Expertise in Azure SQL Database administration, including backup, restore, and high availability
• Proficiency in data modeling, schema design, and dimensional modeling (OLAP vs OLTP)
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics
• Strong ability to perform query performance tuning and diagnose resource pressure
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline design and data integration frameworks
• Proficiency in reporting tools such as Power BI
• B.E. or B.Tec degree in a relevant field
