Senior Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Work with ML model outputs to improve fraud prevention decisions and balance detection coverage against false positive rates
• Own the fraud rule lifecycle, including designing, testing, and maintaining prevention rules
• Partner with Fraud Operations to translate emerging abuse patterns into analytical improvements
• Design and maintain alerting systems to identify threats early
• Forecast fraud losses and chargeback volumes for Finance and Risk leadership
• Define and own north star metrics and KPIs for fraud prevention
• Act as a data bridge between Product and the Applied AI team
• Support the evaluation of third-party fraud prevention providers
• Collaborate with Data and Analytics Engineering on data tracking and PII governance

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in fraud analytics, risk analysis, or payments/trust & safety
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency for large transactional datasets
• Experience designing dashboards or alerting systems
• Strong analytical communication skills for executive audiences
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Operations, Engineering, Product)
• Ability to leverage AI tools for analysis while maintaining critical thinking
• Experience mentoring junior and mid-level analysts

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a marketplace or two-sided platform
• Experience with payment processing (chargebacks, dispute flows, PSP dynamics)
• Exposure to compliance or regulatory frameworks (PSD2/3, AML, KYC)
