Senior Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead the pediatric and perinatal HIV Surveillance team and supervise staff
• Develop and maintain protocols for pediatric surveillance data collection and management
• Oversee quality assurance activities for pediatric and perinatal surveillance databases
• Develop SAS programs for data matching, merging, and cleaning
• Conduct analyses of HIV surveillance and research data for routine and special requests
• Create data visualizations and reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations for scientific conferences
• Represent the agency in meetings with state and federal stakeholders

Requirements

• Master's degree in public health or a related field
• Expertise in SAS, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Experience managing and analyzing large surveillance or research datasets
• Experience programmatically creating routine reports
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to interpret quantitative data and scientific literature

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the NYC surveillance system or similar large jurisdiction systems
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume public health environment
