About the role

Responsibilities

  • Extract, analyze, and interpret complex datasets using Microsoft Azure Services to drive strategic business decisions
  • Develop and maintain data models using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL Database
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Spotfire, or Tableau to communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Leverage Azure Data Lake for efficient data storage, retrieval, and quality management
  • Utilize Microsoft Power Platform to automate processes and build data-driven workflows
  • Implement data quality checks and governance practices to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists to meet analytical requirements
  • Mentor junior data analysts and provide guidance on best practices

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in data analysis, data visualization, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Azure Services, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, or Tableau
  • Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and analyzing data
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps
  • Proven expertise in data modeling to facilitate analytics and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns in large datasets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Data Scientist Associate
  • Exposure to big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks
  • Programming knowledge in Python or R for advanced data analysis
  • Familiarity with data governance practices and privacy regulations
