Senior Cybersecurity Reverse Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead research projects to develop and implement automated software analysis methods
• Analyze novel software, firmware, and malware using reversing tools
• Identify weaknesses or malicious functionality in source code and binaries
• Develop new tools for binary analysis, vulnerability assessment, and mitigating threats to operational technology
• Create technical direction and vision for software assurance capabilities
• Mentor others and develop research proposals to secure program growth

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and ability to maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related technical field
• Significant experience in program analysis of source code, binaries, and firmware
• Proficiency with hardware/software debuggers, static disassemblers (e.g., IDA Pro), and decompilers
• Experience mitigating anti-reverse engineering techniques
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related technical field
• Knowledge of embedded systems, machine learning, or high-performance computing
• Experience with industrial control systems (ICS) hardware and software
• Experience with instruction set architectures like ARM, x86/x64, or MIPS
• Experience with firmware analysis and extraction
