Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with the management team on cybersecurity systems including Firewall, WAF, SIEM, AV, EDR, and Proxy
• Perform continuous monitoring of security alerts and incidents
• Classify incidents and execute response plans based on severity
• Document, report, and escalate incidents according to procedures
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans for internal IP addresses
• Monitor system compliance with technical security standards
• Coordinate with other departments during incident investigations
• Prepare monthly reports summarizing addressed incidents
• Operate and maintain the latest versions of cybersecurity systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering or security operations
• Proven hands-on experience with Symantec security solutions (Endpoint Protection, DLP, or Email Security)
• Expertise in incident management, threat monitoring, and vulnerability assessment
• Required certification: CISSP or CASP
• Proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, AV, and network firewalls
• Familiarity with TCP/IP and networking fundamentals
• Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field
• CCNA, GSEC, or SCS certifications
