Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a frontline incident responder for detection, containment, and recovery
• Collaborate with 3rd-party MDR providers for incident triage and threat hunting
• Administer and optimize security tools including SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management
• Enhance cloud security operations and processes
• Drive cross-functional risk mitigation with DevOps, IT, and Engineering teams
• Provide technical strategy for the end-to-end vulnerability management program
• Design and operationalize security procedures, playbooks, and runbooks

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or incident response
• Proficiency analyzing security alerts from SIEM, EDR, and cloud logs
• Expertise in incident response frameworks like NIST or ISO
• Strong understanding of cloud-native security, preferably AWS
• Experience with SIEM or EDR tools such as Splunk, Microsoft, or Crowdstrike
• Skills in vulnerability scanning and CVE impact analysis
• Ability to use scripting for security automation (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
• Experience collaborating with 3rd-party managed detection and response partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with IAM tools like Okta, SSO, or SAML
• Experience with Terraform
