Senior Cybersecurity Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions with business leaders to define data requirements and analysis needs.
• Develop data models and transformations for DataBee, a SaaS security, risk, and compliance platform.
• Oversee the analysis of large, complex cybersecurity datasets to derive actionable business insights.
• Mentor junior data engineers and promote a culture of excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with product management to identify key business drivers and customer value.
• Combine data from disparate sources to ensure comprehensive GRC and cybersecurity reporting.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity data extraction, modeling, and transformation.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of AWS Cloud Computing and cybersecurity concepts.
• Familiarity with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum development environments using GitHub and Jira.
• Proven ability to develop complex, performant SQL queries from large data stores.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Iceberg and general Data Engineering principles.
• Experience developing for a SaaS-based product.
• Experience applying data science or machine learning techniques to cybersecurity datasets.
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification.
