About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide integrated CI cyber-technical analytic expertise supporting the DOE Counterintelligence Directorate
- Conduct cyber analytical activities, cyber investigations, and evaluations of security systems and practices
- Identify, investigate, and analyze cyber events of Counterintelligence significance
- Adapt and develop tools for applying standard cybersecurity and analysis practices to the CI mission
- Analyze classified and unclassified networks to identify security vulnerabilities and intrusion detection parameters
- Perform all-source intelligence analysis to determine and report on system characteristics and program objectives
- Establish liaison with DOE offices, the USIC, and law enforcement agencies
- Collect data, analyze results, and prepare comprehensive reports relating to project objectives
Requirements
- Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
- 10 years of experience in the understanding and detection of foreign intelligence activity in the cyber domain
- Demonstrated ability to correlate Computer Network Operations (CNO) tactics, techniques, and procedures to known or suspected cyber threat actors
- Experience in cyber investigations and the use of cyber forensics analysis tools
- Experience with multi-source intelligence analysis and knowledge of U.S. intelligence community activities
- Experience dealing with cyber-based investigations and national security matters
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience conducting cyber interviews and defensive briefings
- Ability to conduct independent research and work effectively with team members and partner agencies
- Knowledge of DOE security and counterintelligence requirements related to cyber activities and investigations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Knowledge of DOE Orders, and DOE/NNSA facilities, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrated creativity, innovation, and analytical skills in problem-solving
