Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and mitigate security alerts and incidents across enterprise environments.
• Lead regular vulnerability assessments and coordinate penetration testing across banking systems.
• Design, deploy, and maintain security controls including EDR/MDR, Next-Gen Firewalls, IAM, and DLP systems.
• Partner with data and infrastructure teams to ensure secure-by-design principles for new data architecture and cloud deployments.
• Ensure all security practices align with Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) regulations, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
• Conduct security risk assessments on third-party vendors and financial technology tools.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of proven experience in Cybersecurity engineering.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and Vulnerability Scanners (Nessus, Qualys).
• Hands-on experience with Next-Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Deep understanding of network protocols, cryptography, and secure architecture.
• Solid knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, and financial audit standards.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to communicate risks to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the Banking, FinTech, or Financial Services sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and automated security testing.
