About the role
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot data collection issues to ensure accurate security data ingestion
- Diagnose and resolve system issues impacting stability and performance
- Deploy and maintain Splunk Add-ons for specific data sources
- Develop engineering documentation, change management records, and system security plans
- Deliver comprehensive Splunk deployment documentation for production environments
- Implement role-based access control for data security
- Design and deploy Splunk forwarders using centralized configuration management
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of additional cyber experience
- 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role
- Experience with SIEM platforms or Splunk
- Knowledge of Linux administration and TCP/IP networking
- Knowledge of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes
- Knowledge of DoD policy and technical security guidance
- DoD Directive 8570.1 IAT Level II or higher certification
- Splunk certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Red Hat or CentOS Linux distributions
- Experience with AWS or other cloud environments
- Knowledge of ICS 500-27 audit collection requirements
- Familiarity with Enterprise Security Services and User Activity Monitoring (UAM)
