Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot data collection issues to ensure accurate security data ingestion
• Diagnose and resolve system issues impacting stability and performance
• Deploy and maintain Splunk Add-ons for specific data sources
• Develop engineering documentation, change management records, and system security plans
• Deliver comprehensive Splunk deployment documentation for production environments
• Implement role-based access control for data security
• Design and deploy Splunk forwarders using centralized configuration management

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of additional cyber experience
• 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role
• Experience with SIEM platforms or Splunk
• Knowledge of Linux administration and TCP/IP networking
• Knowledge of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes
• Knowledge of DoD policy and technical security guidance
• DoD Directive 8570.1 IAT Level II or higher certification
• Splunk certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Red Hat or CentOS Linux distributions
• Experience with AWS or other cloud environments
• Knowledge of ICS 500-27 audit collection requirements
• Familiarity with Enterprise Security Services and User Activity Monitoring (UAM)
