Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Operate within a custom, air-gapped Department of Defense IT network to perform advanced support and deployment of new capabilities
• Implement and sustain requirements for deployed products and services in operational states
• Create and update system documentation, schematics, and operational guides or procedures
• Interface with cross-functional teams to define and implement cyber risk posture and information assurance
• Present technical concepts and ideas to a wide range of audiences

Requirements

• Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance with SCI eligibility
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CISSP or Security+)
• Solid background in Systems Administration using Linux and Windows (Windows 11, Server 2022, RHEL)
• STEM degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience
• Understanding of enterprise IT systems including ICAM, enterprise messaging, logging, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of Enterprise Identity Management applications including LDAP (Active Directory) and PKI
• Experience maintaining Windows servers and troubleshooting various COTS software applications
• Experience with enterprise firewalls and managing firewall policies/rulesets
• Understanding of network engineering fundamentals including OSI layers, TCP/IP, VLANs, and protocols
