About the role

Responsibilities

  • Review and process DOHMH license applications and relevant information
  • Perform clerical work including complex data processing, researching, and maintaining records
  • Check records for accuracy and conformity with established policies
  • Monitor and provide coaching to other staff members
  • Perform mathematical computations for processing payments and completing close outs
  • Provide high-volume customer service to applicants in person and via phone
  • Assist applicants with outreach to other city agencies to resolve licensing issues
  • Assist with receptionist and front desk duties
  • Manage telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of satisfactory clerical experience
  • Ability to type at least 20 words per minute
