Senior Customer and Application Development Engineer - Coatings

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to prospective customers in the AP region using Proxxima polyolefin thermoset resins and catalysts.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of pure Proxxima products and hybrid systems to optimize coating performance.
• Collaborate with technical and commercial colleagues to drive business growth within the coatings segment.
• Fabricate coating samples in the STC lab and leverage third-party resources to assess corrosion resistance and other performance parameters.
• Assist customers with application process optimization, including spray, brush, and roller techniques.
• Collect market intelligence and provide technical insights to guide coatings segment strategy and new application developments.
• Work with global teams to develop novel technologies, strengthen intellectual property portfolios, and author technical reports.

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Coatings Science, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 10 years of industrial experience formulating high-performance thermoset coatings (e.g., epoxy, polyurethane, polyurea).
• Deep familiarity with coating industry standards, specifically for anti-corrosion, marine, atmospheric, and automotive applications.
• Proven market-facing experience with strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent English oral communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with coating-related test methods.
• Knowledge of intellectual property development, assessment, and procurement.
