Senior Critical Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Lead daily onsite efforts to maintain electrical, mechanical, fire, and life safety equipment within Raleigh and Durham Data Centers.
• Manage preventative maintenance activities, conduct regular inspections, and address work order requests to ensure 100% equipment uptime.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to critical facility and base building technicians.
• Coordinate with business units and stakeholders regarding planned work, risks, and equipment impacts.
• Manage onsite vendors, including training, daily direction, service ticket management, and performance monitoring.
• Serve as an emergency responder for on-call situations and inclement weather.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical or mechanical systems within Data Center environments OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of data center equipment and critical infrastructure.
• Valid NC Driver's License.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoors/outdoors, varying temperatures, noise, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA 608-Universal certification.
• Technical background in HVAC/R, Industrial Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Automation.
• Experience in advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and predictive maintenance.
• Relevant military experience or technical trade school training.
