About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee Criminal, Juvenile Dependency, and Delinquency record keeping, including case files, transcripts, and appeals.
- Attend Court for pleas, verdicts, and sentences.
- Prepare all appeals to be forwarded to Superior Court.
- Process criminal court information consistent with the case management court system.
- Maintain all records and compute costs.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for the State and Department of Revenue.
- Handle telephone and counter inquiries from the public.
- Receive and disperse funds, balance daily ledgers, and manage cash drawers for bank deposits.
- Work closely with Court Offices regarding all aspects of sentencing and handle Expungement Petitions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in office work relating to the Criminal Court System.
- Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute with accuracy.
- Ability to interpret legal language and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong accuracy in data entry, record keeping, and cost calculations.
