About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform independent risk analysis and oversight of the credit quality for the prime auto finance portfolio.
  • Analyze credit risk trends across assigned portfolios and escalate emerging issues according to company policy.
  • Partner with business lines to recommend mitigation strategies and follow-up actions for identified risks and exposures.
  • Support credit risk assessments by analyzing risk data and maintaining accurate documentation of business and operational impacts.
  • Research emerging credit risks, market trends, and best practices to summarize findings for the team.
  • Evaluate existing controls and contingency plans, recommending improvements to increase effectiveness and reduce risk.
  • Prepare review memoranda summarizing liabilities, observations, and recommended follow-up evaluations.
  • Reinforce a risk-aware culture through the clear communication of credit and risk policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in Risk Management, Credit Risk, Internal Audit, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL or Python programming.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization and analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook).
  • Strong quantitative capabilities and the ability to work with large, complex datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting findings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a quantitative or business-related field.
  • Basic understanding of reporting, dashboarding, and data visualization concepts.
  • Experience querying, validating, and reconciling data from multiple sources.
