Senior CPU RTL Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive logic design, RTL coding, and simulation for CPU IP blocks, including functional units and cell libraries.
• Participate in the definition of CPU architecture and microarchitecture features.
• Optimize RTL to meet critical power, performance, area, and timing (PPA) goals.
• Review verification plans and implement corrective measures for failing RTL tests to ensure design correctness.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the design team, proposing innovative methodologies to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with architecture, backend, and other design teams to deliver best-in-class products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or related field with 12+ years of experience, OR Master's degree with 10+ years, OR PhD with 6+ years.
• 6+ years of experience in silicon development specifically in CPU microarchitecture and logic design.
• 5+ years of experience in technical leadership, including delivering successful IP projects.
• 6+ years of experience with Timing Closure and Power Convergence.
• Expertise in integer and/or floating point, OOO execution, and reservation station design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with x86 CPU microarchitecture.
• Experience driving front-end methodologies and utilizing automation or AI tools to improve product-level benefits.
