Senior Counsel

Responsibilities

• Develop compelling case themes to counter plaintiff arguments
• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials
• Manage routine communications with clients
• Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients
• Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys
• Work collaboratively within a multi-level legal team

Requirements

• JD from an ABA approved school
• Active bar license in the State of Texas
• 8+ years of solid litigation experience
• Significant civil litigation and trial experience (first- or second-chair preferred)
• Experience handling insurance defense matters
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Excess insurance space or commercial litigation experience
• Experience with time management systems
• Ability to take and defend expert depositions
• Spanish-speaking ability
