Senior Counsel, Strategic Partnerships

Responsibilities

• Structure and launch bank-fintech partnerships across payments and credit, including line of credit products, bank accounts, and card issuance.
• Own the end-to-end legal lifecycle of complex customer and third-party partnership agreements.
• Drive product strategy by partnering with business teams from ideation through launch to architect creative, compliant solutions.
• Build and evolve regulatory frameworks, leveraging expertise in BSA/AML, TILA, Reg Z, Reg E, ECOA, and UDAAP.
• Design and implement scalable legal processes and repeatable frameworks to support hypergrowth.
• Leverage AI and automation tools to increase the efficiency and speed of legal workflows.

Requirements

• Currently licensed in a U.S. state with a J.D. or equivalent.
• 7–15+ years of experience as a practicing lawyer, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house experience at a fintech or financial institution.
• Deep expertise in banking infrastructure, embedded finance, and consumer or commercial banking.
• Proven ability to independently draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements and transactions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory frameworks governing banking partnerships and fintech services.
• Experience with loan sale, participation, and servicing agreements.
• Familiarity with complex cross-border money movement and global payment rails.
