Senior Counsel, Privacy, Cybersecurity, and AI Governance

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a global data privacy program including governance, policies, and procedures
• Advise on compliance with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other global data protection laws
• Partner with Commercial and IT teams to build consumer privacy regimes for direct-to-consumer business
• Manage data privacy obligations for connected vehicle operations, telematics, and over-the-air updates
• Build and maintain legal frameworks for cybersecurity management aligned with ISO/SAE 21434 and NIST
• Advise engineering teams on vehicle cybersecurity, secure software development, and vulnerability management
• Design and implement an enterprise-wide AI governance program including risk assessments and policy development
• Advise on compliance with emerging AI regulations such as the EU AI Act

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership
• 12–15 years of relevant experience in AI, privacy, cybersecurity, or technology law
• Demonstrated experience building or scaling AI, privacy, or cybersecurity programs
• Strong knowledge of global data protection laws and cybersecurity regulatory frameworks
• Experience providing product counseling in a technology-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive, mobility, IoT, or connected device industries
• Familiarity with vehicle cybersecurity standards like ISO/SAE 21434 or UNECE WP.29
• Experience with AI/ML governance frameworks
• Professional certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or CISSP
