Senior Counsel, Legal

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead counsel providing end-to-end support on strategic transactions, including pharmaceutical collaborations, licensing, R&D partnerships, and M&A.
• Partner with cross-functional teams such as Business Development, Corporate Development, and Finance to align deals with innovation strategies.
• Manage and direct external law firm partners and advisors to oversee high-stakes negotiations and complex deal structures.
• Support additional corporate transactions including complex financings and restructuring activities across the Flagship ecosystem.
• Develop and implement best practices, templates, and playbooks to streamline legal processes.
• Counsel internal stakeholders on legal interpretations, risk management, and compliance considerations.

Requirements

• J.D. from a top-tier law school and licensed to practice in the United States.
• 8+ years of experience in complex life sciences transactions.
• Proven experience in a top-tier law firm; previous in-house experience is preferred.
• Deep expertise in pharmaceutical collaborations, licensing agreements, and significant biotech transactions.
• Strong ability to lead negotiations on high-value deals and advise senior executives.
