Senior Counsel, Legal and Business Affairs

Responsibilities

• Act as a cross-functional legal partner for music, business development, and consumer partnership teams
• Structure, negotiate, and close a wide range of agreements including music/BD partnerships, developer agreements, and general commercial transactions
• Build commercial legal infrastructure, including contract templates and strategic playbooks to accelerate momentum
• Provide strategic legal guidance to help business partners make smarter and faster decisions

Requirements

• JD degree and active membership in a US state bar
• 8+ years of legal experience
• Strong business acumen and ability to partner with technical and business teams
• Ability to communicate clearly with diverse audiences
• Hands-on, low-ego approach to tackling projects of all sizes
• Must be eligible to work in the US and able to work on-site in the NYC office

Preferred Qualifications

• Substantial in-house legal experience
• Experience within the music or entertainment industries
