Senior Counsel, International, CNBC FTC

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to the CNBC International Advertising Sales function, including drafting and negotiating advertising terms, insertion orders, and sponsorship agreements.
• Negotiate channel distribution agreements for CNBC Europe and CNBC UK across broadcast, cable, IP delivery, and streaming services.
• Advise on broadcast regulations within the UK and EMEA regions.
• Counsel on risks associated with digital marketing activities, data collection, and usage.
• Prepare agreements with vendors and production companies for commercial content, including VOD and events.
• Draft third-party representative agreements for sales and channel operations in EMEA.
• Develop and implement efficient legal and contractual practices, including the use of automated contracting technology.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of legal experience with a focus on media distribution and advertising regulation.
• Qualified lawyer in good standing with a strong academic record.
• Expertise in UK and/or EU sales and commercial law.
• Proven experience in the TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) sector, ideally within private practice or a strong in-house team.
• Deep knowledge of data privacy, media regulation, and ad tech.
• Significant experience negotiating and drafting complex contracts and terms and conditions.
• Ability to work onsite in London, United Kingdom, with unrestricted work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience advising on digital advertising and working with new media platforms or FAST services.
• Ability to provide practical, commercial legal advice to business stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working in fast-paced, multi-functional environments alongside IP, compliance, and employment legal teams.
