Senior Counsel, Data Governance, eDiscovery & Emerging Technology

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance on data management, including eDiscovery and Generative AI tools and processes.
• Monitor case law and GenAI developments to assess implications for discoverable information, ESI protocols, and data retention.
• Drive data management initiatives such as data classification, sensitivity labeling, and unstructured data minimization.
• Develop and implement defensible policies, procedures, and training to support the adoption of Generative AI and information governance.
• Partner with IT stakeholders to expand information management tools and prevent data loss.
• Evaluate the impact of emerging technologies on data retention, deletion, and protection.
• Build strong business relationships to manage legal risk while advancing corporate objectives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in eDiscovery, data governance, or emerging technologies.
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in a state bar.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and influence across a global organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience evaluating and advising on Generative AI tools (e.g., M365 Copilot, ChatGPT/OpenAI, and Claude/Anthropic).
• Experience managing information across unstructured data repositories, structured IT systems, and digital content.
• Proven ability to develop an information management vision and challenge the status quo.
• Experience driving process improvements and innovation within cross-functional teams.
