Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Perform estimating, budgeting, and post-contract delivery throughout the construction lifecycle
• Provide cost planning and present final cost plans to clients
• Review and participate in design services and general contractor cost estimate development
• Manage cost checks, valuations, and contingency tracking logs for large projects
• Lead negotiations on contractor and subcontractor pricing to drive fair contract prices
• Prepare monthly cost reports and funding data presentations
• Coordinate value engineering sessions with stakeholders
• Mentor and coach talent to realize their potential
• Utilize internal software for financial management and margin tracking

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in construction cost management
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large, complex construction projects
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• RICS accreditation or currently working towards it
• Previous experience in construction consultancy
