Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Provide cost planning, estimating, and producing final cost plans
• Manage cost checks and valuations for large, complex projects in active facilities
• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle
• Coordinate cost information from subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams
• Perform quantity surveying, cost control, and change management activities
• Prepare monthly cost reports and funding data presentations
• Review contractor and subcontractor pricing and lead negotiations
• Identify, coach, and mentor team members to support development
• Manage financial performance using internal systems for margin tracking and fee forecasts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field
• 5–7+ years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying within the construction industry
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large-scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of procurement routes and value engineering
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or complex retrofit environments
• Construction consultancy experience
• RICS accreditation or working toward certification
