Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Advise client on commercial strategy, vendor prequalification, and bid evaluation
• Lead procurement processes, including chairing bid interviews and contractor appointments
• Develop and manage detailed project estimates across all construction phases
• Review junior team estimates and present value engineering options and risk assessments
• Benchmark costs against market data and similar data center projects
• Establish cost reporting processes, including forecasting and budget tracking
• Manage commercial risk registers and facilitate regular review meetings
• Oversee cost control processes, payment applications, and change order evaluations
• Manage contract commercial aspects, including dispute avoidance and resolution
• Monitor invoicing and financial workflows for compliance
• Lead final account negotiations and project closeout

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying
• Experience with mission-critical or large-scale infrastructure projects
• Data center experience strongly preferred
• Understanding of construction delivery methods (DBB, DB, CMAR)
• Proven experience managing costs from pre-construction through closeout
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Consultancy experience
• Professional accreditation (RICS or working toward)
