Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Provide estimate and cost planning including producing and presenting final cost plans
• Review and participate with design services and general contractors in cost estimate development
• Manage cost checks, valuations, and contingency management for large, complex projects
• Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead negotiations on contractor and subcontractor pricing to drive fair contract pricing
• Prepare monthly cost reports and funding data presentations for clients
• Coordinate value engineering sessions and provide commercial input to design optioneering
• Mentor team members and manage financial performance of commissions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field
• 5–7+ years of relevant cost management experience in the construction industry
• Experience leading cost management on large-scale, complex, or campus-style developments
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• RICS accreditation or working toward accreditation
• Experience with site development, infrastructure, and utilities packages
• Construction consultancy experience
