About the role
Responsibilities
- Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle
- Providing estimate and cost planning across multiple project phases
- Reviewing cost estimates with design services teams and general contractors
- Communicating with owners and project managers to gather status information
- Managing cost checks, valuations, and contingency tracking logs
- Leading negotiations on contractor and subcontractor pricing
- Producing monthly cost reports highlighting risks, trends, and opportunities
- Mentoring team members to support high performance
- Utilizing internal systems to track margin, fee, and resource forecasts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in construction cost management
- Experience with data center, mission-critical, or highly serviced projects preferred
- RICS accreditation or working towards it preferred
- Experience in construction consultancy strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
- Excellent communication skills
