Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle
• Providing estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting final cost plans
• Reviewing and participating with design services teams and general contractors in cost estimate development
• Managing cost checks, valuations, and contingency management for large projects
• Performing quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management activities
• Leading negotiations on contractor and subcontractor pricing to drive fair contract prices
• Preparing monthly cost reports and funding data presentations for clients
• Identifying, coaching, and mentoring talent within the team
• Utilizing internal software for financial management and margin tracking

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction industry
• Experience supporting cost management on medium to large construction projects (commercial interiors, high-rise, or campus developments)
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• RICS accreditation or currently working towards it
• Previous experience in construction consultancy
