Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle for technically complex environments.
• Provide comprehensive cost planning and estimating services, including developing and presenting detailed cost plans at key milestones.
• Collaborate with design teams, engineers, and contractors to validate cost estimates across mechanical, electrical, and cleanroom scopes.
• Act as a key client interface, gathering project updates and supporting stakeholder decision-making.
• Manage cost control processes, including contingency utilization, cost variance analysis, and change management.
• Support procurement activities such as bid packaging, pricing review, bid leveling, and commercial negotiations.
• Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts, and funding updates for senior stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and manage financial performance across commissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction industry.
• Proven experience leading cost management on medium to large-scale, complex construction projects.
• Strong commercial, client-facing, and communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes and value engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• RICS accreditation or currently working towards it.
• Previous experience in a construction consultancy environment.
