About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide cost management and quantity surveying leadership for a large-scale, multi-phase data center campus development.
  • Develop cost plans and estimates through the design phase, delivering updates at appropriate milestones.
  • Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Estimate and negotiate change orders and manage cost impact, contingency, and commitment tracking logs.
  • Review contractor and subcontractor pricing and lead negotiations to drive fair contract prices.
  • Coordinate with design teams and general contractors to develop accurate cost estimates and reconcile changes.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, funding data presentations, and executive summaries for stakeholders.
  • Provide commercial input for design optioneering and value engineering exercises.
  • Mentor and coach talent to realize their potential and support team success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in construction cost management.
  • Proven experience leading cost management on medium to large, complex construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate effectively in client-facing roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • RICS accreditation or currently working towards it.
  • Previous experience in construction consultancy.
