Senior Cost Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide full cost management services for complex health and life sciences projects from feasibility to completion
• Deliver robust cost plans, support procurement and tendering, and administer contracts
• Manage construction phase costs, including attending site meetings and negotiating variations
• Prepare estimates, pricing schedules, and cost reports using NRM-based approaches
• Produce cashflows and support the preparation of business cases for public funding approval
• Lead tender processes, including the production of Tender and Value for Money reports
• Actively engage in value and risk management through structured workshops and value engineering
• Manage and mentor junior team members to support their professional development

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
• Chartered Professional status with RICS or CIOB (or significant experience to attain chartership)
• Proven experience with NEC and JCT forms of contract
• Experience managing two-stage procurement processes
• Strong competence in project controls and financial management
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced consultancy environment
