Senior Cost Manager

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for end-to-end service delivery and cost management for real estate projects typically ranging from £10m to £50m
• Manage estimating and cost planning stages, including presenting final cost plans to clients
• Lead tendering and procurement processes, including pre-qualification, tender analysis, and compiling contractual documents
• Act as contract administrator, managing post-contract cost variances and change control processes
• Perform peer reviews of cost allowances and conduct valuations on large-scale projects
• Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present findings to clients
• Coach and mentor junior staff, allocating roles and responsibilities to ensure effective project delivery
• Identify new business opportunities and lead bid submissions to grow client relationships
• Collaborate with project managers and other consultants across all project stages

Requirements

• Achieved Chartered Status (e.g., RICS)
• Proven expertise in cost management and contract administration
• Strong experience in tendering, procurement, and project management
• Ability to work with autonomy and manage a complex workload under pressure
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Highly organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines and delegate effectively
