About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct budget estimates to support feasibility studies using parametric cost analysis
- Review designs at various stages and prepare quantity take-offs and BOQ cost breakdown structures
- Manage procurement processes, including contracting strategies, bid evaluations, and negotiations
- Manage change control processes, assessing the value of change orders and negotiating with General Contractors
- Review and recommend interim and final commercial account payments
- Prepare monthly cost reports and present commercial aspects, budget forecasts, and risk assessments to stakeholders
- Lead and train a cost management team to ensure high-quality deliverables and margin achievement
Requirements
- 8-12 years of professional experience in Cost Management
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- RICS or AACE certifications/memberships
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi, CostX, and AutoCAD
- Strong client management and team leadership skills
