About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide estimate and cost planning including producing and presenting final cost plans
- Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle
- Review and participate with design services teams and general contractors in cost estimate development
- Manage cost checks, valuations, and contingency management for large-scale projects
- Develop cost plans through the design phase and provide commercial input for value engineering
- Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management activities
- Ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed in a timely manner
- Produce monthly cost reports for client presentation
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in construction cost management
- Experience with mission critical Data Centers, Commercial, or large-scale construction projects
- Degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, or engineering
- Knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
- Solid technical experience in planning, estimating, pre-contract, post-contract, and final account
- Recognized industry accreditation or currently working towards it
