Senior Cost Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as Commission Manager with responsibility for end-to-end service delivery
• Perform estimating and cost planning, including presenting final cost plans
• Produce full Bills of Quantities and tender documentation
• Manage tendering and procurement processes, including pre-qualification and tender analysis
• Handle post-contract cost variances and change control processes
• Conduct cost checks and valuations on large-scale projects
• Produce and present pre-contract, post-contract, and ad-hoc reports to clients
• Negotiate with contractors and agree on final accounts
• Lead and manage a cost management team where appropriate

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar field
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in similar roles
• Extensive experience in the Real Estate/Property sector within a professional cost consultancy
• Proficiency in pre-contract services (feasibility, tendering, measurement, report writing)
• Experience with various procurement methods (single stage, two stage, design and build)
• Experience in post-contract services (interim applications, change management, variation valuation)
• Detailed knowledge of standard form contracts, preferably FIDIC
• Proven experience in client-facing roles and presenting to stakeholders
• Required in-country experience within Egypt
• Egyptian nationality required

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional membership such as MRICS
• Prior consultancy experience
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry and technical matters
